Types of WC available in-store

MONA-T.png

  • Comes in one piece or two piece

  • Utilises wash down flush

    • Uses weight and gravitational flow of water from tank to flush out the waste from the toilet bowl

STANDARD WC

  • Utilises direct flush

    • Water is directed around the bowl before its weight and gravitational flow flush out the waste from the toilet bowl

    • More hygienic with the flush cleaning the entire bowl

  • Rimless edge for more accessibility to the nooks and crannies allowing for more thorough cleaning

  • We current have two models under our rimless series:

ECO WC

  • Available as model 670A WC

  • Two piece WC with integrated basin on top of tank

  • Utilises wash down flush

  • When flushing, water (coming directly from the water supply line) will flow through a small tube which can be used to wash your hands before it fills the cistern to be used in the next flush

ONE-PIECE WC

  • Usually bigger in size

  • Easier to clean with less crevices as the WC comes in one whole piece

  • Higher price point due to greater complexities in manufacturing process

  • For those looking for bigger WCs, consider these models: Signature, Mona and 8377 WC

TWO-PIECE WC

  • Smaller in size

  • Extra care needed in cleaning due to the slight gap between the water tank and the bowl

  • More affordable price points

Other things to note

  • The different WC trap sizes

    • S-Trap: Sewage outlet leads to the floor (usually for HDBs)

    • P-Trap: Sewage outlets usually leads to the wall

  • How to measure trap size?

    • Measurement of the shortest straight line between the wall and centre of the water discharge outlet

Cautionary note

  • Toilet cleaning tablets should not be used as chemicals produced from these tablets can cause wear and tear to the cistern mechanism
